40 Years of fun – naturally!

The Capri-Camp 2009 kicks off an active summer: The most popular fruit juice drink in a pouch is turning 40! Capri-Sun is celebrating and opening its doors to Capri-Camp with a new concept. After four successful years the educational and adventure camp can now be booked at any travel agency for the duration of the summer holidays. The weekly program will be integrated into the Calimerini Kids Club. – New content, action and fun included! The kick off week started on the 16th of May with fascinating workshops about healthy eating, exercise and social skills. 50 children have already been inspired and around 500 are expected by the end of October. There will be prizes to be won and media coverage throughout the entire event. MARKENREISE develops the presentation of the brand on site, designs the communication media for the adults and kids and is jointly responsible for the project management and quality control.

The new Apple flavour tastes totally fruity – and the secret to it’s sweet taste lies in the green apples used to make it, which the guests of hotels and hostels in three southern German cities were able to experience. Perfect for on-the-go, the tall Capri-Sonne was a great refreshment of the city travellers during a hot July in 2010.

UNICEF - Schools for Africa

This year Capri-Sonne chose a proven travel format aimed at the successful promotion of the "MIX IT!" summer campaign. A large Capri-Sonne photographic competition was held as a promotional campaign to define the winners. The Children’s jury was composed of celebrities and headed by Andreas Sutil (Formula 1), Lars Dietrich and Shary Reeves (Knowledge is Power). They chose the 30 best holiday pictures. 66 Children between the ages of seven and 12, together with 33 parents, won a week of fun, good food, exercise and exciting workshops. The campaign this year was held under the slogan "Schools for Africa" and was supported by the UNICEF organisation. The kids learned something about the life and problems of their compatriots from less developed countries and zones of military conflict. They were familiarised with different projects, and in the form of games, they experienced opportunities to learn and help themselves. Fourteen year old Nana Yaa, who was a teenage ambassador at the camp, introduced her campaign "White Bows", which became a great example of what could be achieved.

Diego Dolphin and the Rescuers

In 2007, the third international Capri-Camp was a great success. The event brought joy and happiness to children, through entertaining events and competitions devoted to the subjects of nutrition, exercise and creativity. The project "Diego Dolphin" was a big hit with the kids in the camp and gave them special insight into the theme of the years camp: Water. Starting as early as March 2007, Diego Dolphin was created by junior school classes and teachers all over Germany, thus promoting an interest in nature and the environment. National celebrities Lars Dietrich and Shary Reeves were invited to the Capri-Camp to be jury members and gave their support to a nationwide television campaign.

Adventure and Study Camp Continues

Thanks to its great success in 2005, Capri-Camp continued the following year. To give a greater number of children and their parents the chance to participate, there was an opportunity to book the journey to Capri-Camp on the island of Lanzarote. In the workshops "Food & Fun" children learned from fresh fruit and vegetables. Whether it was the "Aqua Fit" training in cold water, or the study of new techniques in "Ball Skills" the lessons achieved their goal: To inform the kids about the value of sports, exercise and nutrition. The football World Cup in 2006 was a highlight, especially for the girls at the camp. Under the slogan "Train with the Stars", two members of the national women’s football team came to the camp and demonstrated their skills while training the kids.

Adventures, Fun and Games in Lanzarote

The summer camp, Capri-Camp, arranged in 2005 by the Capri-Sonne brand became the centre of all their promotional campaigns. This very successful concept aimed at guiding children towards healthy nutrition, exercise, movement and creativity. Television and Point Of Sale advertising were used to promote the event in Germany. Competition winners aged between 8 and 14, were selected, and 70 children and 60 fellow travellers experienced the world of Capri-Sonne. MARKENREISE supported the brand by choosing the winners and the location of the Capri-Camp, to be held at Calimera, a resort in Lanzarote. Thanks to this cooperation, additional showcases and entertaining events were organized and the camp was a great success.
